About Me – Val

My name is Val, and caring for others has been at the heart of my life for over 20 years.

I began my caring journey supporting both of my parents, which taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and being truly present. I later worked as a voluntary nursing assistant in a hospice, offering comfort and compassion during sensitive times.

More recently, I worked as the Office Manager for a domiciliary home care provider, supporting the delivery of high-quality care in people’s homes. This experience strengthened my understanding of dignity, trust, and person-centred care.

I have experience supporting people living with dementia and neurodivergent individuals, and I always approach my work with kindness, understanding, and respect.
